    Creatine

This may be the wrong forum for this question but I was wondering what different opinions y'all have on taking creatine and how much?

    On cycle?
    Off cycle?
    Both?

Creatine can be taken on and off cycle. It is beneficial all the time.
Insulin and anabolic steroids regulate the creatine uptake into the muscle cells.
So, of course when you are on, you will benefit the most. However, it is still beneficial to use creatine off cycle since you still have insulin circulating within your body.
Creatine takes part in energy metabolism in the muscle cell. ATP is being used in muscle fibre contraction, that makes ATP lose a phosphate from it (myosin ATPase plays important role here). This results with decreased ATP concentration in the cell. Your muscle needs continous ATP delivery to keep up with the intensity of your training. Creatine bonds with the phosphate molecule with the help of creatine phosphokinase enzyme. When ADP concentration gets higher compared to ATP concentration, your beloved creatine phosphate donates a high energy phosphate molecule to ADP, creating a new ATP molecule. This donation is again occurs with the help of creatine phosphokinase (or simply creatine kinase).
In short, creatine helps you to regenerate the ATP inside skeletal muscle cells and enjoy more intense training regimens.

^ this . Creatine is essentially a 'nutrient', you can take it year round. 5g per day taken with carbs/glucose to help facilitate insulin release and thus storage is ideal

Thanks guys, I appreciate the detailed explanations. Is there any concern with the liver by using it everyday and also is there a certain brand that you prefer?

I buy the unflavored monohydrate from "bulk supple ments" (all one word dot com). It's the cheapest I've found, and they're always sending out 10% discount codes.

Some respond better to creatine than others. No doubt it is used in the creatine phosphate form in the body, but the question is how effective is ingesting it (or its analogs)? Persons with diets high in animal proteins (beef, fish, milk, etc) will likely not see much added benefit; vegans or vegetarians will likely see much more benefit.

In any case, remember for cell voluminzation, hydration with proper sodium intake is paramount. Some of the cheaper creatine supplements cause diarrhea in users [water is pulled into intestines], obviously discontinue use if this happens.

Just remember to use the pure form. KreAlkalin or what its called and other derivates are scam from the industry trying to milk more money (jerry brainum)

I have had noticeable effects that was mostly good taking 5 g of creatine monohydrate for a month while not on an aas cycle.
