Hello folks,
As you know, tamoxifen is a very effective drug that is used as both a gynecomastia reversal drug and a synergistical drug that is used with clomid during a post cycle therapy. So everyone who did their research uses it unless they are under TRT.
Some percentage of you is under SSRI or MAOI drugs to battle with depression, anxiety, OCD and so on.
What you need to know is some of these antidepressants acts as a CYP2D6 inhibitor which has an important role in converting tamoxifen citrate to its active metabolite endoxifen. This results with tamoxifen being less effective during your usage of both drugs in the same time.
Most specifically, paroxetine and fluoxetine are good CYP2D6 inhibitors, so you will want to avoid them or double your nolva dosage during your PCT to get its full effect.
Good news is some of the SSRIs is not inhibiting that enzyme so they are safer to go under, such as citalopram, escitalopram and sertraline.
There are some studies that show us the drug interaction in between the drugs we have talked about.
