I always use a seperate pin everytime I draw. I don't want to risk contaminating my gear. Pinz are way too cheap and easy to get not to change them. JMO

for the price of pinz i draw with a 18g and then inject with an 22g .So one syringe but 2 needles.

it takes 2 seconds and saves a little pain so why not .Then again hospitals never do .They draw and then inject .

I like to have the pin as sharp as possible when I jab myself. Pins are cheap and easy to get.

Does it dull the pin that much when you draw from the vial with it?

21 to pull, 23/25 to push. You dull the pin with every prick also.

I use a seperate 18g to draw...I usually set up 2 weeks or so at a time (pre-fill a bunch of syringes) so I only need a few 18g on just one day every two weeks or so then I set up all the pre-loaded syringes with brand new 25g pins. I think this is a great compromise.

I use seperate pins. However I have never received a shot from a hospitial where the needles were changed. They use the same to withdraw and stick. So it must not be too much of a risk to used the same pin.

I've never used the same pin. Especially this cycle, those caps on the Shanghai bottles are thick!!!! Just sticking the second bottle to mix a shot I can tell the pin is already getting dull, don't want to be putting that in my leg. Like trying to give myself a shot with a butter knife, no thanks!

    Peace

Always use different pin to draw vs. jab. I never use the same pin to draw with neither. Change everytime. Cost to benefit ratio is way in favor of using different pin in my book.

I ALWAYS use a different pin to load... when on an ED cycle, I'll preload a weeks worth of syringes with the same 18ga for all 7 syringes, but otherwise it's a fresh 18ga every time, and a fresh 23 or 25ga for the inject.

Drawing and shooting with the same pin is not a great idea... using amps if you hit the bottom or any part of the glass, you blunt the tip of the pin... and with bottles, going thru the rubber stopper is murder on the pins sharpness.

It definitely makes a difference. A new pin slides in quite a bit easier.

19 guage to draw from the vial and 23 to inject - going through the rubber lid would have to dull the sharp a bit.

BTW Red K - when you say you load a weeks worth of syringes - do you fill them all up with the required amount, and then fix a new sharp to each syringe with the cover still on the sharp and then just leave it appropriately stored until the day of use?

load with 21, shoot with 25. Simple as that. No need to be cheap when it comes to an im infection.

My thoughts exactly. A couple more cents and a couple more seconds are worth spending to prevent an IM infection.

A good reason to use a new pin is because you may have a piece of the rubber stopper in in first one and not even know it!

Yep, on sunday afternoon I load up 7 syringes with an 18ga needle, and put on a fresh needle with cover, and slip the syringe and needle back into the sterile wrapper.

It makes ED shots a LOT more manageable. Plus you handle the bottles a lot less this way so the rubber stoppers don't get shredded to bits.

Bro, check out the pics in this thread...

    http://anabolicreview.com/vbulletin/...ad.php?t=58345

It's a heavy magnification of a reused needle... now keep in mind that it was used in nice soft human flesh, not the much harder rubber stopper of a bottle.

Things that make you go Hmmmm!

Hmmm, that's interesting, and makes for a good argument, but I've looked at them close up magnified, and they've only looked that bad when I bottom them out on an amp.
Plus, although I guess I should be more concerned, I can only give it so much thought cuz I've never had a problem....now watch, I'll have my first.
I must say it doesn't seem like a bad idea to use separate ones.
