Nolva Clomid Prengyl and how they actually work

Heading slowly to my PCT i was wondering how Nolva and clomid mostly work.
I am almost finished injecting pregnyl since i am close to start PCT protocol(nolva 40 40 20 20 and clomi 100 100), thing is i was wondering if these doses are just oo much for a normal 500mg/week cycle of TEST. I mean i didnt even had to use AI and i had no issues , no gyno or bloating , nothing.

So how do i know if these doses are high for me ? what can i do for an alternative? Lets say go for 20 -20 -20 -20 nolva and 50-50 clomid(2 weeks) ?
Nobody knows if it will actually work but what if standard dose is actually alot , how do these compounds work and what will they do to you if you use high dose when its not needed?
