    Blood donation

Caveat: this is for my education IN CASE of future need.
Looking at blood donation i see there are multiple options for type of donation. The one im curious about is called "power red." They take twice the blood cells while returning plasma and platelets. Is this return of plasma and platelets counter productive in any way?

Not counter productive at all. Basically they're removing twice the red blood cells as they would during a normal whole blood donation, which is why you have to wait twice as long as a normal donation. I did a double red (DRBC) donation today myself.

Each donation has it's benefits. What are you trying to gain from it? Most people seem to do just whole blood. I prefer them just taking whole blood rather than giving my plasma back. Plus, i get to go in 2x as often and that means more snacks they give out afterwards and sometimes they hand out $10 gift cards lol.

Some people get confused with donating plasma and donating a double red blood cell

Donating plasma for us would be very detrimental

That’s why I do it. Heavy tren cycles send my hematocrit high and I notice it right away with cardio.

Out here they seem like vampires. Once I gave, they call me all the time. I guess I should just say, wait for my next tren cycle. LOL

The solution is to stop the cardio.

I just donated double red blood cells last week to get my hematocrit and RBC down. I feel tons better after doing it. Still feels weird having them pump saline back into you...cold feeling.

Yes you want to donate whole blood to get your RBC and hemocrit down from certain anabolics. Not plasma (where you're paid cash), donating plasma won't be too effective for this because they return the Red blood cells back to you, so what's the point?

Double red cells is what steroid users should consider. Whole blood donation very briefly impacts thickness of the blood, which is the reason for the donation or prescription.

Describe how you feel better if you can please. Like to hear what you say compared to how a DRBC effects me.

Well for starters my blood pressure dropped and has been consistently lower ever since donating (wasn’t crazy high but it was like 158/90) and now it’s always 120-128/72-80.

I don’t feel as winded, i don’t get lightheaded like I was just from sitting down and then standing up.

I kept having odd chest pains as well (assumed it was cuz of high blood pressure) and those have disappeared.

I also kept getting bad headaches and those disappeared about 2 days after donating.

Gonna get bloodwork done and see how it affected my hematocrit, RBC, and hemoglobin.

Please keep us informed. I do the whole blood because I need to go every 30’days while on high tren . My cardio will immediately tell me it’s time.
