but when you understand the pharmacology of AAS and how they work in the body and what they do, then you'll see that 'Osmostic Supercompensation" , or water, mineral, nitrogen, and nutrient retention, is part of the process... your muscle is made up of 70+ % water. AAS work through water retentive mechanisms of action to help grow muscle. steroids that are 'anabolic' mainly work through water retentive properties. now sure there are some steroids that are 'dry' and androgenic, but they are not very water retentive and therefore not very anabolic and won't build much muscle at all (halotestin for example) and will only provide that androgenic strength aspect.
but if you want to put on size, you need the osmotic aspects of AAS
