Will Deca help my Osteoarthritis Pain?

My doctor and I have been trying different treatments for the arthritis in my knees, but nothing has really made too much of a difference.

I'll most likely need knee replacements, but my doctor says I'm too young at 35.

Does anyone know if Deca would help knee osteoarthritis pain? I've been reading that therapeutic dosages are as low as 100 mg/week for some.

I'm already on prescribed trt 100 mg cyp, 500 iu hcg weekly.

It'd be great if anyone could chime in on this.

    Any help appreciated!

Treatments I've tried to this point: physical therapy, stretching, nsaids, tylenol, cortisone, visco, ice, chiropractic, knee braces, menthol, weight loss

I've run low dose Deca for years now along side my TRT. Works wonders imho.

Curious if you've tried knee gel injections? I recently had them done on one knee (it's a series of 3 shots, one per week) and the difference is wonderful. And no, the injections don't hurt. I'll be getting them done every 6 months from now one. My ortho said it's like an oil change for your knees.

    Hey, thanks for the reply!

I was told the same about the viscosupplementation / hyaluronic acid. Maybe it's the same thing?

I'll check out that study you posted as well.

Hyaluronic Acid did wonders. Totally worth the time and covered by insurance. As stated, I can get them every six months if needed and being that I abuse the hell out of them I most likely will.

I just got a knee replacement after years of running 100mg/wk Deca cycles. I don't have any clinical results to share from my Deca experience. I just know that it made my knee feel better. Keep your natural knee for as long as you can. If you can't sleep at night because of the pain, then it's time to get a replacement. At 35 you're really young. Then again, if you gotta do it, you gotta do it.

By the way, a knee replacement can be replaced. It isn't like you're quota's one knee replacement per lifetime.

I second what Kel and Scotch said.. I had my Achilles repaired in December of 2017 and recovery has been a bitch. I'm on TRT so based off advice from some well respected folks on this site, I decided to add low dose NPP originally (now Deca) to alleviate the pain and help with recovery. It worked wonders. I don't regret it one bit.

I have a completely torn off meniscus in my left knee that I never got repaired. It bothers me at times, and I hardly work out legs, but it will bother me during leg workouts and sometimes just climbing stairs. It isn't that necessary of a tendon, so I didn't get surgery. Who wants to get surgery, anyway?
