Not allowed to donate blood...Now What??

I've been running 500mgs test on a cruise for about a year. I'm not allowed to donate blood. I had hepatitis C at one time, and the last time I went to donate they sent me a letter briefly after saying that my body has ridded itself of the virus but they were able to see that it was once there, therefore, never ever allowed to donate blood now.
How can I donate or bloodlet in a different way?

You can ask a doctor to prescribe you therapeutic phlebotomy or you can drain your blood yourself, just get a blood bag and put a needle into your vein, very simple.

I'm not sure, as I haven't gotten bloodwork done, I'm just doing it as my blood pressure is always slightly elevated and that I know it's the right thing to do if you're on a 500mg cruise for a year.
Is it the right thing to do? Obviously I should get bloodwork done regardless. The last time I donated I felt better, like I could breathe better. I also take adderall 60mg daily for my ADHD which is an amphetamine so I'm assuming that contributes more to the elevated BP than anything else.
Last time I donated they said my hematocrit was okay.

Bloodwork then you can problem shoot.
Agree that a doc can write an rx for therapeutic phlebotomy - Red Cross used to that here with a prescription. If you have it done through an infusion center it’s expensive unless insurance pays for it.

When I went to donate blood last time I answered that I have left the country in the last 5 years and that I lived in Europe during the 80's for more than 5 years (6.5 to be exact), and they then denied me. I had already donated there before, but apparently I didn't answer those questions correctly as I was trying to hurry up. The lady said they have to track my blood down and dispose of it if is still in the system. Something to do with mad cow disease in Europe in the 80's. Now I'm banned for life.
I'm going to try with another donation company and this time I'm gonna lie. Some BS mad cow disease ain't stopping me.
