    Lipid question

    Hello,

I posted this in the bloodwork section a few days ago, but the last reply to any thread was over a month ago. I hope it's ok that I am posting here as well, because I am really interested in an answer.

My recent lipid profile was on the high side however, I have just lost 115 lbs through diet alone. I believe it was much higher, but in all the time I was heavier (due to inactivity from serious injuries and surgeries) I never had it checked. My new pain management doctor put me on TRT (100mg cyp. per week) after seeing these results, so she must not think that they were too bad. I would like your input on if I should start a cycle. My goal is to save what little muscle I have left while losing the last 40 lbs I want to lose now that I have been able to lift and exercise again.

I would like to up my testosterone to 75mg prop EOD, add 40mgs Anavar ED, and HGH at 3-4 IU per day. The reason I am switching from cyp to prop is so if my pain management doctor wants to check my test levels during the cycle, I can lower the amount of test back to 100 mg per week in a short amount of time. My diet has been extremely clean and will remain so. Any info is appreciated wether I should change, back off, add something else.
Sorry about the numbers, for some reason it's not letting me space everything out. The standards are included on the right.

    Cholesterol 216 mg/dL --- 0 - 199 mg/dL
    Triglycerides 158 mg/dL --- 0 - 149 mg/dL
    HDL Cholesterol 39 mg/dL --- >=40 mg/dL
    Low Density Lipoprotein 145 mg/dL . --- 0 - 129 mg/dL
    Non-HDL Cholesterol (Calculated) . 177 mg/dL . --- 0 - 159 mg/dL

If I am able to get quality HGH I was reading that I should have my levels checked at 2 weeks and 4 weeks to see if it is legit. Should I be testing HGH or IGF-1? Also, for a 40 year old male what should the results look like at 3-4 IU's a day?

    Thanks for the help!

I would look into cardarine (gw50) or injectible SR 9009 . they both as PPAR agonists will help with fat burning, but they also improve upon lipid profile

also, I would not mess with upping your Test dosage at all . not really going to help you with your goals and possibly provide more negative then good. just stick with your TRT protocol and add other compounds that work much better then test yet won't mess up your blood work and risk your doc finding out

for HGH use for fat loss , I recommend 3-4iu first thing in the morning before fasted cardio.
you'll want to know your baseline IGF levels if you plan on testing IGF levels later on when on the HGH

Thanks for the input. So, to make sure the HGH is real / working, I need to get my baseline IGF results before starting HGH, then I remember in another threat you told someone else that it needed to be checked at 2 and 4 weeks. So baseline, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks, is this correct? Also, when you say add other compounds without messing with my test dosage, what about the Anavar ? Is that something I could benefit by adding?

W50. Is that the same as GW156 i've been seeing a lot of? If so I don't think it's something that I want to risk using - at least right now. Some of the side effects I've read about include heart and nervous system "disturbances" and sometimes my pain levels get so high that my HR goes up into the 120-130's and I get weird neurological symptoms. I have nerve damage to the stomach and it's usually when my upper stomach or GI spasms. I think it is affecting my vagus nerve somehow. I do know that the more weight I lose and the less pain medicine I take, the less these particular symptoms appear. If I can go at least 3-4 months without a pain flair giving me these symptoms, then I'll try this drug.

Oh, I forgot, the TRT for her is pretty much standard. She feels (and some other pain management doctors I've seen too) that intractable chronic pain and all the symptoms that come with it, especially when it goes on for years, can be benefited by testosterone . One of the big reasons for me was that the Dexa scan she ordered showed I had osteopenia at only 39. I'm sure it's because I was obese and spent years and years laying down in pain most of the day. In addition to being fat though, opiates themselves lower testosterone. I remember before I lost the weight and reduced my pain med dosage (because of the weight loss), my total T was 143 and free T was 1.8. My levels when she put me on 2.5 months or so were:

    Total: 519 ---- 240 - 950
    Free: 4.15 ---- 4.65 - 18.1
    Estradiol: 16 . ---- 11 - 44
    FSH: 2.5 --- 1.4 - 13.6
    LH: 1.09 --- 0.57 - 12.97

I think I'll ask her for bloodwork again, since it's been almost 3 months on TRT anyway. That way, I can at least get insurance to pay for the baseline IGF test and see if the TRT has altered my lipids.

Thanks again for the information. I really appreciate it.

After 8 years of HRT and years of battling chronic back pain I have never heard, nor experienced Test combatting chronic pain. If anything high Test would probably be worse because it can be the catalyst to systemic inflammation - the best friend of chronic pain.

You are correct in HGH - you need baseline and then 2/4 weeks are good markers to determine if it's legit (assuming buying off black market). If your Doctor plans to script you GH then remortgage your home (not exaggerating) if it's not covered under benefits/insurance.

If you are going to buy HGH yourself (not a script) I would strongly encourage you to ALOT of research ahead of time. HGH is the most FAKED compound in the bodybuilding world. Also given that it takes 3-6 months to really kick in be prepared to be patient.

A few hours here and there on google is not going to provide you a quality Gh source (imo).

You will read about 1 off side effects of every drug ever made.

    Ventalin (puffers) ? Heart attack
    Insulin ? Instant coma
Aspirin? Stomach acid bleeds out (death)
    Anavar ? Kidney/liver failure
    and so on

The point is don't focus on the 1 off 0.01% of reported side effects and focus on the 99.9%

Opiates + Oral steroid + overweight = recipe to end up in the ER

Another important thing to recognize is that when you sign up for Test injections, you are marrying the needle for the rest of your life. If 7 years down the line life changes and you want to get off well good luck. Better buy a lottery ticket at the same time cause you are going to need a horseshoe and rabbit foot to recover.

Also HRT is a lot more than just Test or Test and HCG . When you fiddle with your endorcrine system (hormones), you become responsible for all the hormones in your body because your turning your endocrine system "off".

I would strongly suggest reading the HRT thread stickies and make sure you understand what your signing up for and be able to make peace with that decision should anything happen in the future.
