    Finasteride - killing 2 birds

I just ordered some generic finasteride 1mg. The primary goal is to prevent hair loss, and I hope it’s sufficient at that dose. The secondary goal(s) are to reduce DHT, acne, and prostate swelling. I really hope it helps with the back acne. Do any of you use finasteride and see the type of results I’m seeking?

Within three days of taking finasteride (1/2 mg ED) I stopped leaking after I was done peeing. Like when you think your done and put it away then notice a little wet spot in your crotch.
Also, it doesn't hurt to double up with a topical solution for the hair. And, you can get Nizoral shampoo (1% Azaelic acid [perscription strength is 2% and expensive]). You can get Nizarol from Walmart or Target and the topical solutions must be purchased from a compounding pharmacy. I've put this information in posts before, I'm sure a search would come up with something easier than me typing it out again.
Supposedly some of preperations react poorly with Deca , that's bullshit. I read about that and decided to try them with NPP and had no trouble.

If the blood goes to a pregnant woman it can cause development issues of the fetus.

Maybe it's different in US but it's part of the screening up north.

Shoot, didnt know about the blood thing. I was thinking of starting some. I have a script from awhile back. Was taking 1 mg daily and it caused major ED. Which ive never had be an issue. Dropped it freaking out, cleared up after a few weeks.

Im on my first cycle, and refilled it before just incase i had hair loss issues. Read about the other positives here and a few other spots. May or may not be shedding a bit, cant tell if just paranoid about it... brush fills up every week, but i have long hair so it kind always fills a bit... Been using minoxidil for a month or so just incase. Kinda freaked out to try fin again though after the last scare.

I've done 5mg/day for years. If I have ED issues it's always AAS related.

It has become harder to pull the trigger tho. I'm good with that. I like to be able to pee

It is screened for in the US. It is on a list of substances which prohibit one from donating blood. You have to sign a form stating that you don't take anything on that list. If you lie and donate, yes, it causes birth defects. If you need to shed some blood, use a large bore needle and bleed it into 2 cups (liquid measure) in the bathtub.

Man, there always has to be a catch to everything. I'm just wondering, what are the chances that my blood will end up in a pregnant woman? I mean, why would a pregnant woman require a blood transfusion in the first place? On top of that, wouldn't the high amount of androgens in the blood might affect the baby too?

Quester, I'm glad you saw results so fast. It's strange because when I filled out the form it said something about it taking 3 months of consistent use to see results. I guess that's relating to hair, not the prostate. Also, not sure I could drain my own blood. Worst case scenario is I faint and bleed to death.

About the ED, that's not something I look forward to. Already have occasional problems in that department without gear or finasteride. I guess I'll be taking a pill for a pill for a pill, for the rest of my life :-/

My use was prior to ever doing a cycle. Its a pretty well known side effect. And the only med ive ever taken that did. Unsure how it would react with a cycle tho

Replying w a non answer, yay!
My doc prescribed it for hair loss, 5mg pills, said to cut them in fourths. I just walking into my docs and said, "doc, I'm noticing hair loss. I've read finasteride helps with that. On an unrelated note, I've noticed some leakage when I urinate, could you prescribe me something for it?" They know the deal, for a year's worth for $16 after insurance.
Been on it for 2 weeks. All I've noticed, and idk if it's related. I get off slightly quicker. Which is welcome because it took too damn long before anyways.

Finasteride reduces DHT. DHT causes the prostate to swell and enlarge. Therefore, finasteride reduces the swelling of the prostate, which accounts for why some guys have trouble emptying their bladder, leading to the dripping thing.

Took me about 5 minutes to type this since my phone kept changing finasteride to asteroids.

I looked into finasteride a little while ago as a way to get zero more spots on cycle. And as Ive just turned 30 and noticing the hairline I got paranoid that it’s going.

But the side effects didn’t seem worth the risk. What do you guys think of the labelled sides? Do you get them like steroid sides or are they like 1 in a million chance of sides.

I didn’t want any extra chance in the first 4..

    impotence,
    loss of interest in sex,
    trouble having an orgasm,
    abnormal ejaculation,
swelling in your hands or feet,
swelling or tenderness in your breasts,
    dizziness,
    weakness,

You will see side effects with everything you take. I'll let you know once I start, but I think it's dose dependent.

Pregnant women require blood all the time.

    - Miscarriage
    - Postpartum Hemorrhage
    - Antehartum Hemorrhage
    - Anemia
    - Natural birth
    - Heavy bleeding during birth / third trimester
    - Accidents (vehicle, injury, etc)
    - C Section complications
    The list goes on

I can only imagine the legal ramifications if you lie and get caught. Assuming the mother doesn't murder you first for ruining her child.

If your hematocrit runs high and blood viscosity is a concern, then either need to cut fina or learn how to bloodlet.

Hehe, I was expecting someone to reply with something like this. Almost all of those things you mentioned happen AFTER birth. So the baby wouldn't be affected. Miscarriage? Postpartum? Birth? C Section? I hardly believe doctors would inject a woman with someone else's blood for anemia... that doesn't make any sense. I'll take my chances. I have to lie about not being born in Eastern Europe in the 80's anyway, because of mad cow disease. Fuckin hell. If a pregnant woman gets in a car accident and requires a blood transfusion, chances are she lost the baby too.

Fina is going to help with DHT related hair loss but it won't help with DHT related acne . dht that binds to receptors in subacoues glands in the skin is a different type then what binds to hair follicles and the prostate and fina does not block or have any effect on that type of DHT.
the best way to get rid of gear related acne is to drop test out completely and just run anabolics only (that goes against forum dogma, but believe me it works and test is not needed as long as your cycle stack is set up properly.. I ran a cycle awhile back with no test and my skin was the clearest its ever been and I felt great with no test)

That’s interesting to know, thanks for that. Unfortunately, I get back acne even when not on a cycle. Even before I began TRT.

I'm a nurse...here are reasons, preeclampsia, intenral bleeding, casarean section, placental tears, ectopic pregnancy. BUT, THE BEST REASON IS BECAUSE WE ARE MEN AND MEN DO THE RIGHT THING AND NOT TAKE CHANCES WHEN OTHERS HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE.

Monsterone, nothing personal, it's just a professional responsibility to try to prevent others from hurting others.
About the fina, Brother, I don't think the hair comes back, it just falls out slower.

    just a note on this.
there shouldn't be high amounts of androgens just floating around your blood even if your on 3 grams of gear. AAS are essentially hormones. they are bound to various cells in the body via androgen receptors. they are not just floating around in the blood stream and are not going to be available to be transferred from the blood stream to another person via blood transfusion.

I understand your reasoning, but when we get blood work, they can obviously test if someone has 10x the amount of normal testosterone vs someone who is normal. Granted, the relatively small amount donated is probably inconsequential.

yes, but 99% of that 10x normal test level is going to be bound testosterone . its not going to be available in any way, let alone in high amounts, to be transferred in a small pint of blood.

I think there is zero chance for a man with high androgen levels donating a pint of blood to women can in any way negatively effect the women.. thats just not how hormones work.

kinda the same idea with cattle, and you see beef marked as "hormone free" ,, well theres no way for hormones to be transferred into the meat and then into the hamburger your eating and then into your own body.
there is no difference to us eating the hamburger wither the cattle was hormone free or not. hormones don't work that way

kinda the same idea with cattle, and you see beef marked as "hormone free" ,, well theres no way for hormones to be transferred into the meat and then into the hamburger your eating and then into your own body.
there is no difference to us eating the hamburger wither the cattle was hormone free or not. hormones don't work that way
