Guys, I have a blood donation appointment booked for March, do I need to go off TEST/EQ for this? Also do I describe to the nurse what am I using at the moment when they ask? (I believe they do a full blood test anyways) anything I need to know?

There was a big deal here in the uk with hep b in the 90's i am sure it was or late 80's in to the 90's It never came to light until several years ago and it was contaminated blood given to ppl during transfusions. Back then it was not screened but severely is now.
So there would be no chance or very difficult to get contaminated blood giving to you. Well we hope.
I donate every three months i have missed the last two -three as my haemoglobin was high so they refused me. I am on TRT and it has this on my slip and i am passed to donate.
Understood, I know for fact that blood is tested before supplying to hospitals, was just wanted to confirm if lying about the use of gear is okay as they will know after the blood is tested that my test levels are way high so I am using test... Saying that I was worried that as they will have my record they might refuse to take the blood next time (or take other actions) as I lied about the use of test?Quote:

There are clinics, here in US (IDK how it works anywhere else), that accept blood even if it can't be donated to mainstream. The use it for research. Every time I go they use the question form.

It would be completely inaccurate to assume that anything which would hurt a receiver is tested for, i.e. meds like Finateride. The truth is that blood is only screened for infectious diseases.
