Finasteride profile has a pretty big statement?

Hello, I'm wondering if the author of the finasteride profile on the home page has any evidence to back up his claim?

He states: ". Further, the use of Finasteride along with Testosterone , Methyltestosterone or Fluoxymesterone can severely diminish the results and effectiveness of such steroids . This will lead the individual to only use the inhibitor when absolutely necessary; if not, there really is no point in his anabolic steroid use ."

Is that true? He is saying there is no point in using test if you are using finasteride.

I've never heard of finasteride completely ruining the effects of testosterone . It's well known that it only blocks type2 dht in the scalp and prostate. That's a long way from ruining the entire benefit of test.

    Thoughts?

I can only speak from experience but I don’t feel any different on TRT + Finasteride vs without. I have take finasteride on cycles and off cycles and I still saw results when using it.

Thanks, I actually figured that. If what the author said was true it would be a well known thing. I think the author got a little to strong with his personal opinion and forgot he was writing a Supposedly fact based information article.

After reading I did a quick google search and actually found a study proving the opposite. I know 1 study doesn't prove anything conclusively but I didn't see anything else out there saying taking testosterone was pointless if you're on finasteride.

This just proves you have to be super careful believing what you read online. Especially if it's only from 1 source. I won't even consider believing something unless I see multiple sources. Even then take it with a grain of salt.

It blocks dht conversion. Thank god I’ve never used finasteride I’ve seen it cause serious issues in some people. I wouldn’t touch it then again I have no hair issues so I can’t really relate.

I've been on 5mgs fina for years due to BPH. Zero issues for me. Only positive. It will definitly keep your dht suppressed, even on elevated doses of T. From memory I believe it's been tested effective up to 600 mgs T. Fina blocks conversion of T to dht at about a 70% rate. Dutasteride (type 1 + 2 blocker) at about 90%. The blocked conversion is not site specific, but it's effects are most noted in the prostate and scalp.

Type 2 dht. What issues have you seen it cause in people specifically?

    That's categorically untrue.
As Redz said, it is dht conversion blocker primarily used as a prostate med due to its dht blocking properties.

It is routinely run by aas users, and for TRT to combat hair loss during cycle and therapy. This is done without hindrance to cycle or TRT effectiveness.

I'll bring that to Brian's attention. Thanks Fight.

I’ve seen natural people develop low testosterone and also depression from taking finastride. I’ve heard some people just don’t react well even knew someone that said it gave them ED.
