Right Needle Length for Delt

Just wanted to make sure I was lined up with the correct needle size for delts. Age is 43, 6'1", and 235lbs. Historically Ive gone 1" and 23g for my delts, but its been a while so I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

I personally would use a 5/8" up to a 1" and a 25G.

Never done anything but ass inj. Now its a bit overload there i think.
Could i use an insulin needle the shoulders containing 1 cc test and 1 cc deca ?

You could do 2ccs in your should I believe. You are fairly big and meaty.
I personally wouldn't go shorter than 5/8" but plenty use 1/2".
You can use as small as a gauge needle as you want but a 3ml syringe with a 30G needle is going to be tough to push thru.
The larger the syringe and the bigger the gauge the harder it is to inject.

Damn, you've only done glute shots? How do you do them? I've done a few when I started, and during this cycle I had to move to glutes cause I wanted to give my delts a break. Typically I only do delts..

When I do glutes now, I have to lay down on my side in bed, put a pillow or two under my leg so my ass isn't flexed, and bam. It's not so bad in the glutes, it's uncomfortable twisting and trying to press the plunger at the same time.

1/2" for smaller volume
1" for more volume

I did it in the mirror before with a 1ml syringe, but with the current 3ml syringes I use, I couldn't apply enough force with the way I was standing. I had to press with the side of my finger, and I couldn't get relaxed enough, so the needle had a hard time going in.

I’m starting to think that I’m the only person who does 100% of their pins vertically, regardless of the muscle I’m hitting.
Allows for airlocking and zero wasted gear in the barrel.

I almost never get to use my actual thumb to push. It's always the side of a finger or heel of my hand. Normal.

This is what I was thinking. Almost all of my injections end up being index finger on the plunger with the others on the barrel at the flange.

I’ve had to hold the barrel and push the plunger against a wall before. That sucks.

I’ve heard a bunch of similar stories from old school powerlifters. Dudes were fat as hell, and ended up having to back into refrigerators and shit for a bunch of sites that they couldn’t really reach.

I have been doing my delts this cycle and I'm using a 5/8" 25g. Makes for slow injecting but I think it results in less PIP by injecting slower. I take a full minute to inject 1ml. I should also mention that I am very lean, if I had more chunk to me i would definitely go 1". I think i could easily use 1/2" and get it into the delt but I prefer it goes a little deeper into the muscle.
