Steroid or not, if you're not gaining weight, it's because you're not eating enough. If "5-600" more calories per day doesn't cause you to gain weight, add more. I'm willing to bet that your not tracking your caloric intake that well. You can't guesstimate portion sizes and macros.
And as far as running gear goes, unless you have bloodwork confirming you're on gear (like and elevated RBC and shut down testosterone if you're not taking test) you can't prove that the gear you took was legit. It doesn't matter how much you trust a source, there is always a chance they could be scamming you or their supplier was scamming them. The only way you can know that you're getting legitimate gear is if you bought that gear at a real pharmacy in a first-world country (and even that isn't 100%).
