Lightbulb How to Dispose of Pins?

How do you guys dispose of pins/needles/syringes? I usually fill a big plastic container, and then dump it in the trash. I am wondering if I should drop them off somewhere more formal.

IIRC it may differ depending where you live but generally yes, you can toss sharps containers in the trash

Any sealable container. I use old vitamin bottles. Then duct tape them shut. And throw them out.

I just put the caps back on and throw mine in the trash. I go through too many pins with test + HCG every 3rd day to buy a thousand sharps containers. I wish there was a better way than just throwing it in the trash.

You should be able to put them in any plastic container that can’t be punctured by them (bleach bottle, coffee canister), tape them shut, and mark as SHARPS if you don’t care to buy the containers or go through a lot like monsterone does.

    Remove the needle from syringe

    Throw syringe in garbage

Put needle in a container, label it sharp and you can drop off at most hospitals. Just google it.

You can pickup empty sharps containers at any pharma here and also drop off the full ones, free of charge, dunno if it's like that in the states.

I cut a hole in my pocket and then slowly make my way across the playground at the neighborhood elementary school. Haven’t been caught yet!

    LMFAO....!!!!

Gents, we can clearly see that S&D has made a full recovery.

S&D, I am pretty sure that I sent you a PM concerning a certain acquaintance of mine/friend of yours... Check it brother, and hit me back...!!!

    My method:

Syringes I just dump them in the trash.

Needles, I reinsert the needle back into the cap, about half way or a little more, then I bend the needle (using the edge of the cap as a fulcrum) as far as I can, and reinsert the needle into the cap.

What does this do? It creases the needle, and if someone was to find it and try to straighten it, it would break...

I am only trying to make the needle less of a risk...

As a retired Corpsman I would say that Sharps Container is ideal, and then dropping it off at a hospital to be incinerated along with all of the other biohazard...

Just save them up in a bin to dump them later on the streets of San Francisco.

You might be able to trade them to some junkie for their EBT card. I'd do that at the beginning of the month though.
