It’s done for two reasons.
1: it helps to keep blood levels of various things that have their production increased by AAS use. Chief among them being red blood cells, hemoglobin and platelets. This can also have a secondary effect of helping to keep blood pressure from getting completely stupid on cycle.
2: it’s one of the few things in this world that we can do that is a universal good. That blood could save someone who got severely fucked up somehow. Shortages are a serious problem on a pretty regular basis.
The frequency depends on the agency. The American Red Cross for example, allows whole blood donations once every eight weeks.

Does donating blood not interfere with anabolic gains during a cycle?

donating blood
Theoretically, but the shift is extraordinarily small. An extracted pint is roughly 8% of what’s in a 180 lbs. individual’s body, so most of us will have a higher volume, due to A: being larger, and B: the effect of AAS on blood in general, which makes the percentage even lower.
So in theory, you could possibly lose ~8% of the circulating AAS, but this is still less than the 10% margin of error just seen in most labelled doses vs. what’s actually in the gear.
It’s seriously a non-issue, before you even consider the cost to benefit ratios.

A nurse once told me women live longer than men, because they lose blood every month--menstruation. Not sure how true that was. Tony Robbins on the other hand says they outlive men because they have more Human Growth Hormone than men. Of course, there may be other reasons in addition to those two. But losing blood or donating blood can be healthy I guess.

That reminds me to go donate
If you cycle continuously, or even on trt - I’d say donate 2-4x per year
It drops your lipid levels too < or, am I wrong

I'd say donate as needed or as a contribution to society. Even if on TRT or cycling not all of us will need to donate. If you do donate frequently and are older be sure to watch your iron levels. It's common for older guys to crash their iron from too frequent donations. And yes, blood that's less thick is less prone to bad cholesterol, basically.

Always something to add, huh. . . .Lol
All true tho, going anemic isn't a good thing
And, I have heard of TRT guys being able to get away without out of range HCT levels - but, still - I think the twice a year rule seems fair from what I have seen - 4 is a tad over the top - and, yes - they'll take as much as you give em. . . . Around here, at least
We're all different tho, follow the BW results mainly

I donate every 90 days like clockwork. Done that for many years even before starting AAS because it seems to be the right thing to do for those who can.

2 questions. can you give blood with high BP?
also, should you get blood test directly before or after
also if you are set to inject the day of your blood draw, should you do it anyways or wait til the next day?
