How long for cholesterol to normalize after cycle?
Have any of you ran bloodwork after a cycle to see how long after you ended it things went back to normal? Just curious.

I usually wait 6 weeks... just because the test is for my medical record .
I have done it 4 weeks after and cholesterol is OK.
I also did it 4 weeks out from a competition..... not good.
That is my experience but everyone can be different. I would say 6 weeks is a good time for almost everyone.

Good question but I really believe there is no hard fast answer. I usually wait a month after a blast but than again I also take 10mgs daily of atorvastatin. Never had an issue with a statin.

FWIW, I did my last blood work about 5 weeks post cycle and my LDL was at my normal level. My HDL was lower than normal but it might just be all that F'ing fat I've added to my belly this past year

I am no medical doctor but...
Cholesterol has a half-life of hours...
Your cholesterol level can fluctuate day to day and hour to hour.
I believe this is why we do fasted blood work.
For example, 80 percent of Mogadam's subjects had (daily) fluctuations in excess of 30 mg/dl, and 25 percent had fluctuations exceeding 50 mg/dl

Therefore...
I would assume that...
Your cholesterol will return to normal shortly after the steroids and perhaps the PCT meds and AI leave your system.
Note: I could easily be wrong.

Everywhere I read online, diet and exercise are said to take about 3-6 months to show their effect on cholesterol. Then you read about steroids tanking cholesterol within a couple of weeks of starting.
I had bloodwork results from discounted labs/privatemdlabs on my laptop, which died (along with the SSD containing all my personal files). Didn't have them backed up anywhere so I can't reference my previous labs. I remember that around 2 months after my first cycle I was at around 41 HDL (was previously 49 before starting TRT). LDL was about the same as before starting, if I remember right.

Just more to think about....
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf...56329603300316
Steroid -induced lipid changes are well recognized. “Increases in low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)by 11-100% and reductions in HDL-cholesterol(HDL2andHDL3)by39 to70% and in apoAl by 33% to 41% have been reported. Synthetic oral androgens appear to produce greater effects than intra-muscularly injected testosterone .'Changes, which are not dose-related,occur within 1 week of using anabolic steroids and are reversible in 4-6weeks. The mechanisms involved appear to be an increase in hepatic triglycerides lipase acivity and a decrease in lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase activity.
But because science lab studies are a fickle bitch....
https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/38/3/253
Effects of androgenic -anabolic steroids on apolipoproteins and lipoprotein (a)
Conclusions: Self administration of several AASs simultaneously for eight or 14 weeks produces comparable profound unfavourable effects on lipids and lipoproteins, leading to an increased atherogenic lipid profile, despite a beneficial effect on Lp(a) concentration. The changes persist after AAS withdrawal, and normalisation depends on the duration of the drug abuse.

Took me 10 min to find where to log in on the privatemdlabs... thanks AG, I actually got access to 3 of my blood works I thought were gone forever!
Findings:
2018/07/09 (before starting TRT/steroids )
Total testosterone : 471.1 ng/dL
Free testosterone: 11.6 ng/dL (8.7 - 25.1 pg/mL)
Estradiol: 21.5 pg/mL (8.0-35 pg/mL)
Triglycerides: 107 mg/dL (0-149 mg/dL)
LDL: 98 (0-99 mg/dL)
HDL: 48 (>39 mg/dL)
2019/01/08 (2/3 into my first cycle ~ 500-600 mg/week sustanon /test cyp)
Total testosterone: 1665.8 ng/dL
Free testosterone: 46.2 ng/dL (8.7 - 25.1 pg/mL)
Estradiol: 72.3 pg/mL (8.0-35 pg/mL)
Triglycerides: 221 mg/dL (0-149 mg/dL)
LDL: 76 (0-99 mg/dL)
HDL: 39 (>39 mg/dL)
2019/04/06 (2 months post cycle; 125 mg/week TRT + 750 units HCG )
Total testosterone: 879 ng/dL
Free testosterone: 38.59 ng/dL (8.7 - 25.1 pg/mL)
Estradiol: 46.4 pg/mL (8.0-35 pg/mL)
Triglycerides: 111 mg/dL (0-149 mg/dL)
LDL: 81 (0-99 mg/dL)
HDL: 40 (>39 mg/dL)
Looks like my HDL took a hit of about 10 mg/dL both on TRT and on cycle compared to before TRT/steroids.
LDL was worse before TRT/steroids, and better during cycle than on TRT.
Triglycerides were similar before TRT and on TRT, but much worse on cycle.
Estradiol was within range before TRT/steroids, a little higher than range on TRT, and double the high normal on cycle.Last edited by Test Monsterone; 05-11-2021 at 05:47 PM.
