Taking pins through metal detectors
Has anyone here had experience taking IM needles through metal detectors?
I started a new job recently where I fly into the mine site and stay in camp for 3 weeks at a time. It's impossible to mail it to such a remote location. At the airport we have to walk through a metal detector while they xray our baggage and carry on. Contraband is an instant dismissal.
The way my cycle works I'll have to walk through the metal detector with 11 pins and a couple vials. Does anyone know if this will make the metal detector go ape shit or does it pick up that small amount of metal?Last edited by PrairieDawg; 05-20-2021 at 05:27 PM.

If it's prescription, you're G2G.

I don't see why you'd need to provide proof that you're on TRT... that's HIPAA and none of their business. If you were carrying crack cocaine, that's something else. Most people have no clue about what a cycle is vs. TRT. A tiny little vial looks like nothing to the average person. Think if you had any other medical condition that required needles such as diabetes or anemia - why have to disclose anything to anyone? These are not psychoactive drugs.

I guess you don't know if they got caught at the metal detector or after, cause that would be your answer. You could test it with sewing needles, but not sure if you can leave your gear outside of where you scan and then tell them you have to go back to get something. The vial top is also metal, though... and I mean you have things like nail clippers that are metal. Are they that strict that you can't bring any metal or they check everything?

The guy that did get caught at the airport had the gear tapped to his leg. His wife called the company and tipped them off because he was nailing some young thing. So wasn't the metal detector lol.
Yeah thats what had me concerned about the vial was the metal top. I might just put them in some glass spray containers or something. And check them in my luggage.

Why do you not just end your cycle ? Going through
Modern metal detectors systems are capable of detecting ferrous and non ferrous metals and stainless steel i believe.
Can you still train at your new job ? If you can great, if not why even bother risking taking gear with you.
Why risk your job for a cycle plenty of time in life for this.
