Guaiacol
As some of you know, guaiacol is a solvent used with injectable steroids that have a tough time staying in suspension, or not crystallizing. I have been on a number of cycles using one of my favorite steroids, DHB, which often uses guaiacol as a solvent because of its propensity to crystalize. I have bottles of DHB that use an unknown solvent (not guaiacol) that have crystalized, and bottles with guaiacol that have not. Currently I'm injecting one of the guaiacol bottles, and the smell is unmistakable. Since finding out about guaiacol, I have watched a number of videos and read posts by forum members stating that guaiacol is extremely toxic.
Here is what this pubmed article had to say:
"Necropsy showed hepatic and renal necrosis, pulmonary edema, hemorrhages and bladder clotting. We concluded that guaiacol is an extremely toxic product (toxic rating class 5) whose use should be restricted or banned."
This particular study was done on mice, and likely used dosages higher than any human would consume. Being that personally I enjoy DHB and I have a few bottles left, I am debating on whether or not to continue using steroids with guaiacol. I think I'm going to try and avoid guaiacol in the future, but I wonder what other people's experiences have been with this solvent. What dosages of compounds using guaiacol have you used and for what duration? Would you use it again?
