    Longer cycle on TRT dose?

Since I am planning to keep cycling and TRT is not yet an option for me (no help back home), I am considering what my next step should be.
I was planning a cycle march, but I kinda hate the superman feeling for 12 weeks (AAS) and then horrible for 12+ weeks (Recovery).

So was talking with a friend who has been on a TRT dose for 2 years straight. Now clean he has better values than before the AAS use which
    surprises me.

    Question:
    - Judging by friend's trip, do longer use with smaller doses risk your health and restart potential more than shorter cycles with higher doses?
    - Has anyone of you done a year or more of TRT dose and then come of successfully?
    - What compounds in such a case would be recommended? I've read Test CYP and HCG is popular, but I also hear some doing TRT doses
with e.g. Winstrol , Stanozolol or even HCG only instead?
    - Can TRT be done SubQ since the amount is so small or is the release way worse?

Right now it seems I can restart to normal values as usual still and I feel decent during recovery. I have libido issues and loss of strength
which is expected (6 weeks off so far), but the worst part after each restart is the energy, happiness and mental state.
I "feel" weaker mentally even months after and this is why I often come back to AAS, I get so much done outside the gym on cycles as well.

    Question:
    - Judging by friend's trip, do longer use with smaller doses risk your health and restart potential more than shorter cycles with higher doses?f No. Shut down is shut down. Test takes a while to shut you down whereas 100 mgs of deca will slam the door shut immediately. Short answer no. Your body doesn't have a timer where you get to 13 weeks and decides to F you over. It can't tell 12 weeks from 16 or 20 when it comes to your HPTA. Blood work is key here. Obviously the longer you're on the more chance for RBC issues, systemic inflammation (CRP on blood work) and oxidative stress.
    - Has anyone of you done a year or more of TRT dose and then come of successfully?
No doubt they have but there's zero reason to come off of TRT if you need it.
    - What compounds in such a case would be recommended? I've read Test CYP and HCG is popular, but I also hear some doing TRT doses
with e.g. Winstrol , Stanozolol or even HCG only instead?
Cyp and HCG is TRT. What you run should depend on you, your goals, your health and your age, etc. Low dose deca (for joints) is commonplace in the TRT world now and many clinics prescribe it. When it comes to other substances I'd have to refer to my comment above. But, obviously safer anabolics for longer term use are the way to go (mast/primo/var, etc)

    - Can TRT be done SubQ since the amount is so small or is the release way worse?
SQ is very popular for trt since small amounts are used. Normally those doing sq inject at least twice per week. SQ is not for everyone though as some tend to have dispersion issues (lumps) from it. Personally I did not like it and stick to shallow IM with a 27 ga .5" syringe.

Right now it seems I can restart to normal values as usual still and I feel decent during recovery. I have libido issues and loss of strength
which is expected (6 weeks off so far), but the worst part after each restart is the energy, happiness and mental state.

AAS, if done right, can be a way of life. Just monitor your health via blood work and avoid ancillaries if at all possible (which it is)

I will agree with Kel on the whole, but I believe that the longer you stay on (without HCG especially), the longer it will take to recover. The Leydig cells in the testicles go in a sort of dormant state when exogenous testosterone is administered due to a lack of stimulation from LH produced by the pituitary gland. From what I’ve researched and gathered, the longer the testicles remain in this dormant state, the harder it is for them to “wake up.” This makes sense, otherwise people could run cycles indefinitely without ever needing to get on TRT. Most people eventually lose their ability to recover their original testosterone levels after a number of cycles.

Later this year I plan on coming off completely to procreate and I’ll find out how much the HCG helped.

But what says you even have to come off to do so? Not encouraging you to stay on just curious your thoughts, especially if you're on HCG already which can maintain spermatogenesis. Be neat to see testing both ways wouldn't it!

I wish I could, believe me. For the entire time I’ve been on trt or ran cycles since I’ve started my membership on this forum, I’ve taken HCG . Haven’t gotten my ex or current girlfriend pregnant. My understanding is that HCG only mimics LH, and we need LH and FSH to maintain fertility. I looked into getting HMG for the FSH, but it’s extremely expensive and I would need a lot of it to regain fertility. So I think I’m gonna have to go the HCG + Clomid route and go from there.

Highly appreciate those answers Kelkel, and thank you TM for the HCG remark (something I've been thinking about)!
    - If I choose to go the route, would I benefit anything from giving my body time to recover now after last cycle (PCT already done) since I will shut me down again?

As it looks now I will get no economic or legal help in my own home-country. I need to have been clean at least 3 months, take a test, and maybe maybe I can get Nebido only (no HCG).
According to them, I need to be around 4 in free T to even be considered legally and they do not take into account anything else or other hormone values.
Not because we don't have the science to prove another case, but simply because the government refuses to budge on any laws regarding TRT at the moment and haven't for many years.

Here I can get Cyp and HCG for around 25 Euro vial (Asia), so I should be able to sustain me for a few years no issues, but I have no idea what will happen in the future of course, or where
I will live. But it doesn't seem like I can do much about it besides living as is or keep pushing my body until I get horrible values...
