How open and helpful are some Drs with cycling?

So I’m just getting started with TRT. The Dr I’m seeing is strictly a TRT and HGH Dr. His office literally shares a door to a gym. Like, his lobby office shares a door to the floor of a gym. So he definitely has some clients who cycle. My question is basically- How much should I tell him? Do I tell him I’m planning on blasting and cruising? I don’t expect him to give me a blasting level prescription, but does he expect me to tell him so I can get my labs interpreted properly? Would he help with a mid cycle lab test? How common would this be for a Dr who specializes in TRT?

    Thank you in advance

Spare yourself the trouble/time discussing off-label intentions. Responsibility is often entirely on you to oversee your protocol, lab work, etc. To better understand the culture surrounding hormones within the docs office, perhaps find out where patients source their drugs - what's important is to learn is how they are balancing their relationship with a (cash pay) pharmacy and to what degree they're comfortable exploiting insurance for the benefit of an aspiring bodybuilder. Ask too many questions, probably gonna be given a tight (expensive) leash - come prepared and help cover your physician's ass is my best advice, gl!

Very helpful. Thank you for the advice. I’ll keep it basic with the Dr and not talk about cycling or anything

Pleasure is mine brother, thanks for all your great questions! It's stressful and and easy to over-think, rest assured your probably not over-reaching or jumping the gun...by much, it sounds.

How do you plan on becoming an established TRT patient btw? Is your plan to provide your HRT doctor labs that prove low T, or do you have a physical handicap or another appeal to empathy (such as being a user who will use regardless)?

As an old guy, after decades of use, it's an ongoing challenge to balance sourcing (whether it be hormones, labs or ancillaries) - probably seeking out meds 60/40 from the pharmacy and underground currently - buying long term becomes important had you find reliable value and last thing you'd want to become is a high maintenance patient who burns out a welcome - what's important to my doctor, is his nurses receiving referral bonuses/kickbacks to go on pharmacy sponsored annual vacations...with that in mind, it's understood that your office may switch drug dealers on a whim to the next highest commission and meanwhile, you are shit out of luck during transition...as a responsible patient, it's generally a grey-area of understanding bodybuilders hedge their flow of meds with respects to the supply chain and your MD grants you that freedom (unless your at a TRT quack shack that treats as a template, disregarding the human). Grateful my doctor allows for shopping carte blanche at the compounding pharmacy multiple times a year providing full freedom to architect rx label instruction - doc reminds that freaks like us are the rare minority of patients who give a shit about these drugs/objectives, hah.

I’ve already gotten labs done and getting a prescription this week. Not going through insurance, and I have my choice on where to fulfill the prescription. I assume I’ll be prescribed just the normal TRT dosage. No matter what, I want the TRT because of my low level, and to be consistent. I also want the added benefit of not needing PCT, but is want Trt even without cycling/blasting

May I inquire what country or jurisdiction your TRT specialist is located? Sounds as if you're in a rare position of power to gain access to controlled substances from wherever you choose.

Man, TRT docs out here in Los Angeles do not prescribe HGH, lucky you.

The TRT doc I had before I convinced my healthcare provider to prescribe it knew his shit and was a fellow lifter. The clientele that I crossed paths with were on more than TRT and the TRT doc knew that. I never told him that he prescribed me enough where I could build a supply enough to blast a 500/week cycle though. And till you know for a fact that you can trust your primary MD to reveal that you’ve cycled, do NOT tell them. Similar to the last post though, I too am curious of your general location (if that’s ok?).

You have me baffled with that one, lol. “Engagement farmer”? The HGH thing might be regional in the states, if my memory isn’t deceiving me, I believe I’ve heard of TRT / anti-aging places that do, but certainly not around my neck of the woods. That said, decent UGL HGH wasn’t hard to track down.

I think every gym needs a doc like his honesty

Edit: check that, just googled engagement farming (damn I’m ancient). I’m not feeling it with this guy, lots of great, honest questions.

My Dr is like anti everything. He thinks I'm crazy yet every time I've said something and he's checked my blood guess who's right.
I wouldn't share shit with doctors everything goes in their folder . It's like over sharing with the popo never a good idea

Definitely lives in mom's basement, until proven otherwise. A shame someone appears to be selling him random paraphernalia.

Your willingness to ask questions would do well on another social media platform. Here, your lack of research feels disingenuous and haphazard.

Well, I’m here to learn. There’s a bunch of information I’ve read and learned on this forum and others. The introduction to newbies on this site recommend posting and asking questions. I have a bunch of questions because after a bunch of reading, there’s still some conflicting information that the forum search tool couldn’t answer easily. So these may seem like disingenuous questions, but I’m a newbie. Hence why I’m here

Appreciate you taking criticism in stride Livingabetterlife, you'll be an expert in no time! This community can certainly be esoteric and hard to read, information changes rapidly, not easy to keep up. At the end of the day, an unwritten goal of the forum is to advance the responsible use of steroids without pressure from underground sponsors - lots are here long term to support an environment where doctors become increasingly comfortable prescribing anabolics. Beg your pardon for being an easily baited reply guy...hopefully you feel it's coming from a good place, we want the best for you & yours!

So.you say you're here to learn. I'm in the same place. I have done a few oral cycles, but no injectable as of yet. I have however started trt, so my aversion to needles has been "conquered" lol

But if you are here to learn, at the same time I see posts from you saying you've bought syringes and needles and other items.

Slow down, get you're questions answered and learn as much as you can as it relates to your situation and needs. No need to buy crap if you're still learning.
