Post "cycle" recovery

Hey bros, been a while since I was on here.... Long story short I've been on test for no less than 250mg a week and no more than 750mg since October. Well I'm ready to come off, just did a 5000iu shot of HCG and took 20mg of nolva. I'm gonna run the hcg for 3 weeks and the nolva all the way through and throw in clomid a week before my last shot & run that all the way through. I've been doing tons of research and since I've been suppressed for so long I'm probably gonna have to stay on the clomid for at least 2 months. I also have proviron on hand because I read that it's good to include. I have searched here, EF, MC, medical sites and I can't even get 2 theories on the subject that match. Any vets with long term use or long cycles using HCG, what are your experiences and what works best? I'm using HCG no doubt about that along w/ nolva & clomid just want a better picture on how I should put it all together and if proviron even has it's place...

Results were great, I've been cycling on & off for a few years, but I didn't want to completely come off this time so I would use a maintenence dose of 250mg.... I don't stack anymore, just test. I mixed it up w/ esters, but now I'm done. I want to shed all the water weight and most important get my HPTA up & running healthy again. I'm lucky because gyno isn't a problem for me so I don't have to worry much about that, although I have plenty of anti e's on hand if not for anything, just to keep estrogen @ bay. The food bill was murder too LOL.... I have my PCT mapped out like this, did my last shot of sust last Wed so this Mon I hit 5000iu's of HCG along w/ 20mg nolva & 25mg proviron, since I still have test in my blood I'm obviously not worried about inhibition. I will continue the HCG & nolva for 2 more 5000iu shots every 5 days and then follow up for 2 more 3000iu shots every 5 days. After the last 5000iu shot I'm going to throw in 300mg of clomid while still running 20mg of nolva & 25mg of proviron. I will continue running nolva & clomid for about 2 months. I DO REGULARLY get monitored by my doc so I'm aware of my cholesterol and liver values, I get a blood test every 3 months. Of course he doesn't approve, but he keeps me healthy none the less. I'm only running proviron for 20 days so that I will end it long before my PCT is over... just more like a safe guard to block any estrogen that the HCG may cause and any rebound effect that nolva can't block. Also on hand I have tribulus cause what the hell, might as well throw that in there and the ever popular... viagra, my girl is a nymph so I can't afford to let this girl not get her daily dose lol. My biggest concern is sex drive, I'm not worried about depression because I could care less... I know PCT is a mental game and I welcome leaning out & losing bloat. I could care less about strength anymore, just want to look really good and maintain as much as I can... any advise is welcomed

you dosages on hcg are way overboard, 5000iu in one shot is just to much, i would opt with 500iu per day over however many days you plan to run it. Clomid is overated jmho, i dont take it, but if you can hack it up to you, i would use the nolva right through from start of pct to end, i would also run proviron ed 50mg, to help with erectile dysfunction if nothing else.

I totally agree with Jason...I no longer use clomid and don't miss it one bit. It's also too bad you didn't use your hcg intermittently throughout your cycle. I bet you'd be in a much better position. That being said, I don't think I would ever take 5000 IU's at once. HCG is a very, very potent drug. You could run a search on Pregnyl and get its prescribing info. Basically, Organon gives two options, the best IMO being 500-1000 IU's 3x/week for 3 weeks, followed by the same dose 2x/week for 3 weeks.

Don't be surprised if your axis relapses into suppression after several weeks. If that does happen, you will probably have to "challenge" it again with hcg & nolva.

OK, I only did the one 5000iu shot... probably shocked the hell outta my system. I also have 1500iu shots (I always buy more than enough) you think split it up into 3 little shots 3x's a week? That would be 500iu's eod. How could I dilute the 5000iu's into less concentration? I want to do this right. I know the big clomid/nolva debate and I personally HATE clomid & would rather nolva... how should I run the doses & for how long?

clomid and nolva are basically the same imho, all u want to do is block estrogen so it doesnt inhibit natural test !

I was on a medical site that said after long term suppression you should take 5000iu's every 5 days and subsequently taper down from there. 5000iu is too much for an 8 week cycle, but we're talking about almost a year here. I did the one shot and since the half life is 5 days my next shot will then be 500 eod. I have yet to read 2 places that give the same advise... I know it's a very individual thing, but you'd think there would be a little more accuracy these days. Anyway, after I complete my PCT I'm gonna wait a few weeks and then get tested & see where I'm at. I had a script for androgel from my doc, which is why I've been on for so long & cycled on top of it. I don't feel like being on anymore, my receptors are so saturated and 750mg doesn't even really work for me anymore, I don't want to start hitting the 1000mg mark yet lol.... you think doing the 500iu eod will work out now since I shocked my body w/ the 5000? I just hope that I didn't desensitize myself, but prolly not...
