Yeah, you are right about that. A friend tried it twice to 2 different address, both were caught.

Here are the best ways
1. dress so that you look small
2. take girls with you and buy some tourist crap
3. cross late at night after going to the clubs/ a couple drunk friends always helps
4. be smart, don't look suspicious or nervous/ a couple drinks may calm you down as well
5. Have a good story ready as to what you were doing down there
6. "crotching" a couple items is the best way to walk it across

Always drive in my opinion. Pack a couple bags and throw them in the trunk. That is so when they ask you where you were you can say spoend a couple nights in Baja. Always have girls and cute ones are better. By shit and keep it in the car while your going accross so you look like a dumb tourist. Dress nice and have a nice car. By dressing nice I mean cloth that look somewhat new.

When you go to a shipping place (Fedex,etc) in Mex, they require you to have the package open for inspection before they will ship it. So, Not much luck in shipping from Mex. You'll have to carry it across. Not that I would suggest doing such a thing.
