you need to hit the outer part of the quads..Not the complete side, but more to where the 'meat' is. Never do the middle or inner part of the legs. DO it slowly man..I did 2 injections in quad so far and NEVER hit a nerve...yet. Tell me hows that work 4 u

start going slow. its easy to tell if your about to hit a nerve...it starts to hurt a lot and your muscle may spasm. Go real slow, break the skin and just slide it in. no need to rush injections, thats how accidents happen. Shoot your delts too. they are better than quads (which are my 2nd least favorite spot to hit)

I do my quads. I have hit a nerver on each leg. just konw were they are and move up or down my leg just a inch or 2.
I go slow and can see my muscle spasm if i get to close to a nerve. I pull out put a new pin on and move a inch or so away. Works every time.

starting from the top of your leg, go down 1/4 the way and 45-90 degree's to the outer side. There are less nerves and veins their. I like to tap it in slowly, once you break the skin u wont feel anything

I've hit my quads more than any muscle in my body and only hit a nerve once.
I suggest you go in slow, that way with practice it gets so you can feel when you're about to hit a nerve or go thru a vein.

Never had a problem and love quads. Have gone through many and hit one vein. You pierce the skin and then let the pin slide in slowly. I usually am 1/3 down from where my leg starts to the knee, and like everyone else said a little to the side like on spotinjections web site.

everytime i hit my quad it hurts like a bitch...probably cause its always oil based. water based injections are like BUTTA

I am another that ALWAYS seems to hit nerves in my quads. Both legs..always end up hitting a nerve. After about 3 or 4 tries...I just say screw it, and hit the glute. I wish I could find the "sweet spot" and start abusing my quad for a change!

I do quads more that gluts, there is less pain while inserting, but slightly more sorness the following days. I guess cuz you use your legs more.

i hate quad injections. i'm thinking of pulling em outta the rotation. when i do do them though, i go slow. i'm not sure but i think i've hit a nerve like 4 times in em (pain, muscle starts to quiver a bit). 2 times, i pulled out and tried again, 2 other times i pushed through (i was late to class).
i got a girl i'm dating to do my glute injections. its great. i honestly don't even feel it. i'm like "hey, whats taking so long?" and she's like, "uhh, i'm finished already"...=)
delts are prolly my favorite though. you should try them. its not difficult aspirating with one hand.

Bro, for quads I prefer 25ga 1in, but 23s will work.
Also make sure you lubricate your pin!!! Dribble a drop of juice onto the outside of the pin. It slides in so MUCH smoother.

Quads are the best not one prob yet knock on wood. You don't need a 1 and a half dart though.

If you're injecting 1 1/2 inch your quad, that would explain why you keep hitting nerves. I have 30 inch quads and i wont use anything bigger than a 1 inch pin for them. 1 1/2 inches is just too damn long unless you have an inch of fat on top of the muscle.
