    Its not that it hinders gains, just you dont see as much activity on the scale because its controlling the water bloat, but then again when you end cycle this same water bloat is the first thing to come off. If you dont bloat as you go then chances are you wont loose as much when you come off so you really "see" what you get to keep as you go.
