Flu shot while on Roids
Watcha think get it or not. They're giving flu shots out here at work for free but I started my cycle this week. I know when on AS your immune system is weakened and I don't want to get sick so any opinions?

That's what I figured I always get sick from them. LOL I'm telling 'em I don't want one because I'm scared of needles. Hahahahahah if only they knew.

i told them the same thing here at work, and chuckled to myself! yo the thing with flu shoots for me is once everyone gets them, and most of the shoots are the same, the particular viruses that those shoots stop arent' floating around anyways cause everyones immune to them, so i've found in past years that the same people get the flu weather they got the shoot or not. you know they don't stop all the differnt viruses. anyways it something to think about.

I'm getting it because I will be doing hands on care with flu patients. While a few people may have a reaction it is rare and usually mild.

I deal with sick people all the time. The more sick people you deal with the stroner your immune system becomes. I know it sounds crazy. The flu shot is just a guess by the CDC of what strains of the flu are floating around worldwide. It should primarily be taken by old people and people with weak immune systems.
