yeah, the difference is the amino acid content of each. I'm under the impression that whey is the better protien.

whey protein absorbs faster and soy protein slightly raises estrogen levels

soy protein comes from soy bean
whey protein is milk, dairy based

I'd love to eat steaks all day, but I cant afford it. I bought these **** soy protein shakes like an idiot not thinking about it. If it raises your estrogen levels, wont this negatively effect the effects of the juice?

soy protein has a high glutamine content. suck it up for now and dont buy it again. if u wanna replace steaks go and buy egg white protein and calcium caseinate.

I buy crap cuts of meat.. all the ____ of round cuts are usually the leanest, but also the toughest, but it works... red meat the only naturally occuring source of creatine. not all the time, but I try to eat these cuts alot, and they're usually very affordable.

yes whey is better protein for weight training, and steaks are excellent too... i read a post a while back that if you take in too much protein from redmeat, you run the risk of gout....but no one cleared it up...so i'm not sure if that will give you gout if you just take in steak...

Whey is the better choice by far for the majority of your protein intake, but other protein sources have their value as well. Some soy protein is a good addition to your diet.

Here is a good read about Soy protein.

I have never heard of Protein having any impact on hormone levels.

Whey protein has a higher biological value than Soy also, which means its absorbed better by the body.
Regarding gout, gout is a result of excess uric acid built up in the bloodstream, and is an indicator of reduced kidney function = bad news.
If on a budget, I'd stick w/ the whey since it's easier to power down a shake than a steak... also steak costs an arm and a leg now at least here in cali. More steak also can mean higher cholesterol... just my $.02.
