They want me to call them.
Did the thingy online and then they say I need to call and verify.
What's up with that?

heres an idea.... call them and find out!
is that roid rage?
I.m hoping someone has experience this. I've read that they may ask for a description and just want some advice. I thought that is what this board is for.
no it's low tolerance of idiots rage lol j/k but why not just call and see
They do this with first time users or if you're sending the money out of the country. They will ask you if you know the person that you are sending money to. Just tell them yea, and tha's it.
they do it every time. it is just for verification. Dont worry about it.
but in my experience it is cheaper to do it at the grocery store.
i did it western union to britain and they never called me.... and why is it cheaper is groceryy stores?
I have no idea. Last wk i got a quote on the internet(from TX to china) and they wanted a $34 charge. i decided to pay cash and use the grocery store WU and it was only a $12 charge. have no idea why, but all i know is from now on i am going to the WU personally.Originally Posted by Jackman

after you call them they will send you another email saying funds have been cleared for pickup by the reciever.

For anything under $1000, you don't need id. Just make up a name, and send the money.

Actually Moto, the last time I sent money to China it was less than $1000 and I had to show ID. They told me certain countries were being flagged.Originally Posted by motoxxxguy

I just sent money to Europe the other day and did NOT have to show ID.
Yeah, it all depends on the idiot behind the counter. The other day i was asked to show ID, and i pointed to the bold print on the form saying you had to show id if it was over $1000.... But the idiot said that the computer still needed the ID. So, i said WTF, i went ahead and gave her my real ID (while having fake info on the form), and she did nothing.-well so i think.Originally Posted by Solrock
same here vette the lady behind the counter said i needed an id or the computer wouldnt take it i was like its only 200.00 but to answer the thread call em no big deal but i wouldnt pay by cc anymore thats just me
call em from a payphone if you are that worried.
thats exactly what I would do.Originally Posted by 956Vette
Look for the WU that you fill the form out...call on the phone they have provided...then u bring it to the counter to fill the rest of the order.
Anyway...why would u order from China?? Not a smart idea...
sounds like they wanna track peps if they want id for 200 bucks. Yeah, most of the time though the people working the wu counter have an iq that is less than par
