    Question Physiological Mechanism for Edema (water retention, bloaing) with use of test?

    Anybody know why test causing water retention? Is its effects on the Liver causing portal hypertension? Or is it some more complex mechanism?

    Its not the testosterone , its the estrogen which is causing the water retention.

    any idea on the properties of estrogen that cause water retention?

    Estrogen affects the renin/angiotensin system, which results in increased aldosteron levels. This causes sodium retention, which causes water retention.
    I think estrogen also causes an increase in ADH (antidiuretic hormone) too.
