Why are we taking niacin while taking accutane?

17a refers to a molecule attached in the 17th position of a chain of molecues to prevent the liver from breaking the substance down so it can reach the blood stream intact...without the effect being lessened.

So there is no chance of niacin flushing a specific molecule off of a chain of molecules. Hope this helps

i think you misunderstood "flushing". the flushing referred to is the peripheral vasodilatory effect of niacin. it doesn't mean that niacin increases the "flushing" of things out of the system. i'd be more worried about taking three drugs together that are pretty nasty on the liver. are you getting regular liver tests done?
