Abcess?????

Hey bros, I injected into one of my pecs the other day. and now today i have a rash and a little knot about the size of a quarter about 1 inch below the injection site, and it's pretty tender to the touch. What should i do?? and if i have to go to the doc, what do i tell them??? I was going to try heating it but some say heat some say ice

Do not ice it, heat it. You ice a pulled muscle, not a muscle with oil in it. The heat will increase the circulation and help the oil disipate. Cold would do the opposite.

O.K. i heated it for a few hrs. this morning before going to bed and when i woke up the rash is now bigger and it's itching like crazy, a little moire swelled and it's kinda hurting a little bit just when i sitten around.

b12 can go im. They add it to Gonaker and thats supposed to be shot im.

Is the area warm to the touch? If no, and no fever, give it a couple days. However if you do develop a fever or start showing other infection symptoms, get to a doc immediately. The pecs would be a bitch of a place to have an abcess.

i get em from time to time also, just rub the piss out of it daily and as long as you dont start running a fever or the lump putting off big time heat you should be okay. if you're really worried try and get ahold of some antibiotics, that may help also...dont stress out yet, we all get em.

If you do end up going to the doc, just tell him you woke up one morning with a little red mark, and it just got worse everyday. Then hint that you've had problems with spiders before. He'll probably freak out and tell you he can't believe you're doing so well from a poisinous insect bite.... Then he'll fix you up and all should be well. Saves you the trouble of admitting you've been injecting illegal drugs into your body.

I disagree bro. You should always tell the doctor the truth if you want him to be able to help. If you aren't comfiortable talking to your Doc, get a new Doc.
