    best way to open a glass amp?

    what is the best way to open a glass amp with out spilling gear ?

    Buy an amp opener for real cheap. Otherwise, you can stick a pen cap over it and snap it with that.

    just buy am amp opener( they are very cheap) or you can file the amp then snap it open with a pen cap.

    or take paper towel or napkin and break it , look into getting some filter needles to draw it up and then switch to regular needle for slaming it home!

    They are cheap for a reason because the blade on it dulls quickly...i use a pen cap and its better than the amp opener by far!!

    I take a nail file and score the neck a bit and they snap off easy.

    Just like markus214 said use a nail file to score around the neck,or sometimes a kitchen knife with those little teeth,i like to hold on to it with a paper towel just in case it breaks.But the idea of using a added pen cap to snap it sounds good for leverage!
