Im going for a doctor check up. I am going to get him to give some blood work, check my blood type etc... I want him to check my my thyroid. cause I am taking T3s tabs and I want to make sure everything is working to the fullest.
any advice will be helpful.

Get him to check for the following:
T4
T3
TSH
rT3
ACTC
cortisol
He'll likely check your fasting glucose and maybe insulin...
You can actually get him to do a amino acid testing. This will tell if your body is synthesizing enough tyrosine during the conversion of phenylalinine to norepinephrine. But this won't be necessary unless there is a insufficent amount of t4 being manufactured by the body.

If you are currently taking t3 what is the point of having the thyroid tests done? You know it's going to be shut down...are you going to tell him you are taking t3?
I'd be more concerned with having him check out your cardiovascular system.

its good to check on it. and its not shut down.

If all goes well with this visit, then once every 6 months is fine...your temp will tell you when it's time...It's not a bad idea to check your fasting BG every once and a while as well, and do the adrenal test ( heart rate after lying down for 10 min then getting up and taking it again right away). These will give you quite a bit of info on how your body is coping with your diet, rest, training, stress etc...
