no, you don't need to go to a doctor.

you can do it yourself with body fat callipers(sp?).

You can buy scales that measure your weight and body fat..they arent super exact but they are +-2% off wich is pretty close, you can go to any gym and most do the test for 5bucks , theys do it with the calipers, or you can buy the calipers and use the chart to measure your bf%, i do it at my gym they have the digital scale that does it and he calipers and i take an average of both.
