anybody familiar with elk meat.i got about 200lbs(the whole elk), cut and wrapped for 150 canadien from a family friend.i hear it is leaner than most beef.any input on this?

Yea, elk is great I love it. To bad my state doesnt have elk and out of state bow tags are expensive as FCK so its hard to come by and i havent eatin it for awhile. Definately enjoy it while it lasts.
