Hey,
Just about to make an order for my anti-es and I need some help. I have a choice between Liquid Femara and Liquid Armidex. I've heard Femara is better as it doesn't shut down IGF-1 like Armidex does - see below. What should I use then Nolva +L-Femara or Nolva + L-Dex?![]()
Relative Potency of Type 1 & 2 Aromatase Inhibitors
Product Aromatase Inhibition (%)
Aromasin (Exemestane) 97.9%
Cytadren (Aminoglutethimide) 90.6%
Arimidex (Anastrozole) 96.7%
Femara (Letrozole) 98.7%
By the looks of it, Femara (Letrozole) is the strongest inhibitor.
But, there is a potential problem in that estrogen, and more so estradiol, can trigger GH release from the pituitary gland ... this can effect IGF-1 production AND receptors (negatively OR positively). Take a look at the below chart:
How Various Estrogen Inhibitors & Blockers Effect IGF-1
Formestane Increases 26%
Aromasin (Exemestane) Increases 28%
Cytadren (Aminoglutethimide) Increases 27%
Arimidex (Anastrozole) Decreases 18%
Femara (Letrozole) Increases 24%
Faslodex (Fulvestrant) Decreases 70%
Nolvadex (Tomaxifen) Decreases 23.5%
So - L-dex or L-Femara????![]()
