I'm guessing he means dark chocolate...

and i like to have a small piece from time to time to help curb those cravings...but it does have sugar, so depending on how serious you think you're taking your diet...it could pose a prob...if you're being somewhat lax...then it shouldn't be a big deal IMO.

If you are just concerned with the amount of sugar have some Sugar free chocolate... Hershey even makes it now (just make sure to heed the warning on the back where it says excessive intake can cause a laxative effect )

make sure it's not milk chocolate and about 77% chocolate. there's still about 12 grams of sugar per serving, but if you eat it once in a while you still may get the antioxidant benefits from it. that's the best alternative unless you can find the cocoa bean

When I get a craving for chocolate or anything sweet for that matter, I just eat or suck on a tootsie roll for a while and that seems to curb the desire for me! Then I go to the gym and train like an animal.......

You can get unsweetened, baking chocolate which contains no sugar (it's **** nasty if you eat it as is)...I tried melting some once, and mixing it with splenda...it actually wasn't too bad. Not exactly the same as regular chocolate, but definitely good. Try dipping strawberries in it. Also, some other options for chocolate cravings: sugar free hot chocolate (50 cals, 10 carbs, 2 protein) or sugar free chocolate pudding ( you'd have to not be a dairy-phobe tho). You can also find some recipes for low-fat brownies if you feel like baking. Just subsititute splenda for sugar and whole wheat flour for AP flour.
