    money orders??

    anyone know how easy it is to cancel a money order? or is it difficult?
    my friend ordered something a paid via money order but didnt receive what she was suppose to. it was a c.o.d so they havent cashed it yet. anyone?

    I'm not 100% positive, but I dont think theres anything you can do... its like sending secured cash.

    Once you have paid for a money order, it's like cash, it's gone.

    But if it was COD and the order was not delivered, then you still have it correct... just write the money order to yourself and cash it, deposit it, whatever.

    I manage a store that sells money orders and you can get a trace done on the money order and if it hasn't been cashed yet, then you can get a stop payment and a refund on it. This happens quite a bit when the money order has been lost in the mail or just simply lost. The fee for this with our particular money orders is $15. I'm sure that varies from place to place.

    It's easy if it's purchased from a bank. If not, there should be a 1-800 number on the back of his receipt.
