Thread: Pasta with chicken breast PPWO?

    Pasta with chicken breast PPWO?

I know you should have a protein and a high GI carb PPWO. Would pasta with chicken breast be good to have PPWO?

I know this might sound stupid but I'm usually on a very tight schedule and I was wondering if Chef Boyardee raviollis, Spaghetti O's, or Kraft Easy Mac and Cheese would be good for PPWO along with chicken breast. I know they contain alot of sodium but I'm not worried about that because I drink alot of water. A small can of Chef Boyardee raviollis contains 9 g of protein, 29 g of carbs, and 6 g of fat. That along with a chicken breast and some marinade would make 38 g of protein, 37 g of carbs, and 6 g of fat for a PPWO meal.

I'd watch out for fat content...that'd be my biggest concern.

Along with that, it's really not ideal. Not a great carb source.

I use pasta and stuff like that PPWO when I am not cutting, just in case it leads to looking less than optimal.

That's the thing Swole, I am not cutting I'm bulking.

With that said, is this ok to eat Chef Boyardee raviollis, Spaghetti O's, or Kraft Easy Mac and Cheese for PPWO along with chicken breast?

Dont most of those contain a fair amount of fat??? You still, optimally, would not like any fat in your ppwo whether it be for cutting or bulking.

The raviolis only have 6 g of fat.

If you're bulking, it is no big deal... Just make sure you get more than enough carbs/protein/calories than your body needs... The extra fat you add will come off eventually.

I use the mac n cheese and omit the butter, and use 1/2 of the required milk w/the rest being "I can't believe it's not butter" spray. Combined w/the cheese and soft macaroni, you'll never miss the butter.

Couple of sprinkles of parmesean (1-2 grams fat is nada) and you're golden.
