    greens?

    im 3 weeks out guys and cycling my carbs right now. I was wondering if any of you all eat greens when ur pretty close to show time.......im aking this cuz theres some guy at my gym that says there not good precontest, especially 3 weeks out........but i doubt that. Just wanted to ask for your alls opinions............what kind of greens would be coo? Spinach?

    i'm not to sure,but not peas from what i have heard, as they are high in natural sugar.
    Check nutritional facts on google. You don;t want extra sugars.

    romaine lettuce and green beans are my choices

    It depends on what type. I agree with bigsd, green beas are great. Brocholli I eat year around. But like you said at 3 weeks out my food intake is watched very closely. I'm mainly consuming grits, oats, sweet potato, etc. only during this time. Food only , no powders or protein bars!!

    Here are the top two greens when dieting:
    Asparagus and broccoli.
    You should be eating 8 stalks of Asp twice per day. Or you should be eating 3 or 4 cups broc.
    These two greens will halp pull water through your system. The fiber is good to help in the keeping you regular area. Whoever felt greens were bad precontest must compete. Just a side note don't be putting butter on these greens steam only.
    Trust me these are the top two.

    Steamed Mixed Veggies, green beans, salads, lil bit of potatoe...that's about the staple of my diet 8 weeks out...XXL
