My pancakes taste like banana bread

Extremely simple recipe, and im sure others have tried similar if not this exactly...but it tastes just like banana bread to me.

    1 cup uncooked oatmeal
    1 banana
1 scoop protein powder (i use vanilla)
1/3 cup splenda (i dont actually measure this, just poor some in)
15g protein worth of egg whites (comes out to 138grams for me)

    mix well in a blender
then cook like a pancake (i use a non-stick omelet pan)
usually makes 2 pancakes, and they seem quite easy to flip, i put it over low heat as to not burn the bottom...let me know how they taste

47g protein/ 80g carbs/ however much fat a scoop of protein powder and 1 cup oatmeal has for you

tastes great and seems like a good P/C meal

alright, dont mix them too well...just mix them enough to get everything blended...i blended it too long this morning and i guess it made the egg whites more like a whipping cream, these tasted awful.

Why don't you try just blending the oats and the banana up by themselves, and then mixing everything else in by hand?

I use instant quaker oatmeal regular flavor.. BTW I just tried using 2 oatmeal packets and taking out the banana. It doesnt taste like banana bread anymore but with sugar free syrup it tastes decent and it gets rid of the sugar the banana has..

1/3 cup of splenda is quite a bit. Could you measure it next time?

    Hey

What about soaking the oats the night before in soy milk then You can add the babana in chunks.I think it will be more like a batter.

    I will try this.

Great way to have a nice breakfast...
