I'm putting this in the general forum instead of the political forum since it really isn't politics and a lot of you don't go in the political forum. But this really touched me, and wanted to pass it on. Also a friend has already checked it out it is a very legimate need.
So sad...the number ONE request at Walter Reed hospital is phone cards.
Because the government doesn't pay LD phone charges and these guys, many of them amputees, are rationing their calls home. Many will be there throughout the holidays.
Remember that most are from poor families. They are having a hard time
keeping in touch with their families especially this time of year.
Support the troops. Send phone cards of any amount to:

at ft.bragg I was running comercial lines everywhere everyone wanted a line which was cool cause the dumb ass C.O. said we couldnt bring cell phones even though we were on a 2 week field opp. gonna suck when they get the bill be friend was telling me about how he made a 4 hour phone call to cali I was laphen my ass off the field opp was kind of pointless anyways
