Best time of day to eat an apple?

When is the best time of day to eat an apple? Pre workout? Post workout? Before bed?

I'm thinking pre workout. What do you guys recommend?

the sugar from the apple helps move your thyroid levels. So pre-workout is a good time to have an apple.

So eating an apple 30 minutes before my workout will give me an energy boost? Can someone explain why that is? I know it was posted that "the sugar from the apple helps move your thyroid levels", but what about giving you energy for your workout.

Also in addition to the apple, what would be good to eat pre workout?

No, no energy boost from an apple.

your blood sugar will go up slightly because apples have some different types of sugar in them. you might have a lil extra energy as a result. not much though

I don't think it's a good idea to eat fructose pre-workout (an average apple contains about 30grams of this simpe sugar). It will give you a quick insulin boost because of it's high glycemic index, but that will decrease the peak after the workout when you need it the most (when fightin cortisol levels).

    P.S. My first post, wee

Guys, may wanna check your resources again. Fructose BARELY stimulates insulin response at all, but does help to T4/T3 conversion, and that is why it's a good choice.

Again, NO energy from an apple, as fructose in the liver won't give you any energy.

This has been a staple pre-workout in many of my customized programs FOR YEARS.
