no, thats what i do.. but i stay at 75% of my max heart rate.. so take 220 - (age)=MHR then multiple the answer by .75... an keep ur heart at that rate during the cardio.
ive been reading up on HIIT an sprinting type workouts which last only 20 minutes, they could be good for fat loss, maybe even better
great, thank you.
would an hour 7 days a week be too much?
5 days a week if u are overweight max, dont burn yourself out
Ok, I'll stick with 40min. on weekdays and an hour on weekends.
If your diet is truly "clean" then I would say that's too much cardio. Basically, you are doing cardio 7 days a week, 40 minutes on weekdays and 60 minutes on the weekends. Not being mean, but you must be really tall or have a lot of muscle if you weigh 175lbs and only have 20% bodyfat. 20% for a female is not a lot, by no means fat.
That is exactly what I was thinking. 20% bf is normal for a woman how did you get it tested?Originally Posted by Hypertrophy
It sounds like your are the right track with cardio. However, if you goal is the reduce your bf further a good review of your cutting diet would be in order. How are you macro's looking?
I get it tested at the gym with a trainer.
Skinfold calipers, bioelectrical-impedance, hydrostatic weighing, etc.Originally Posted by lochick87
