leather all day. nylon doesnt even compare to leather. i have a light one i use for everything, and a very heavy duty one i use for heavy squats. forget nylon, go with leather. if you are using a nylon belt you arent lifting heavy enough.

No belt, if your training for bodybuilding forget about the belt, you abs will look much better and be much stronger. Same thing for knee wraps, since i stoped using them my knee's feel better and my legs look better, now if your powerlifting, then use both and go heavy duty with belt and wraps.

Leather. I don't use belts too often, but when I do I prefer leather over nylon.

I only use a belt when I do shrugs, cause they are really heavy. Is this not a good thing to do? I don't use a belt when doing squats, because it's not heavy at all. I use the smith, and only squat about 135 or so.
