    felony dropped to misdemeanor

    I had the thread about getting busted .Just an update i got a call from my lawyer the other day saying the felony was dropped to a misdemeanor because the roids didnt weigh out over 28.00 Grams.

    28g?? that's an ounce.....getting caught with an oz of grass will get a felony in the states, right? grass penalty same as aas?? dont make sense

    In Jersey anyway, under 56 grams is simple posession, 56 grams and over is posession with intent to distribute. That's assuming its all in one bundle, if its separated into multiple bags for example, it could still be intent to distribute, and still be under 56 grams total. But I'm talking about grass here, every substance has its own specific penalty based on quantity.
