Fruit juice, you dont need a ton of stuff right after your workout other than some kind of sports drink/fruit juice and a protein shake like half hour after.....
you need something liquid. eating meet and stuff takes to long for your body to absorb. Do that after 30 min.
Some sort of protein shake immediately after is best. I like about 60 grams of whey protien.
40-60 grams of protein after workout along wiht some fast acting carbs. You can use a weight gainer w/ carbs or chug some gatorade. Eat some low GI carbs and protein a couple hours afterwards too

Yeah it has some dextrose, but not alot. There's a thread in the diet forums where swolecat addresses this. I'm not saying Gatorade is bad for pwo, but like I said it is not optimal. THe best is pure dextrose.Originally Posted by longhorn814
