    Egg whites side effects ??

    Anybody ever heard of any side effects from eating raw egg withes ???

    Lady from GNC said they seem to destroy some important enzyme in the stomac...

    Just wana check if thats true or not!!!

    I usually eat around 20 egg whites per day.

    i use the pasteurized(SP?) egg whites so there is no issue. On a side note, I would never ask any tool from GNC any advice on nutrition or training.

    there's a lot of info on here, but basically @ 20 raw/day, do pasteurized ONLY.

    in all honesty, there really isn't any reason for you to call every employee at gnc a tool... the manager of this store knows more about dieting, supps, and the human body than maybe a select 25 people on this board, if that.........

    You have to go into those places armed with the knowledge. I never count on them for real advice, but GNC is the worst of them.

    the average employee is not very knowledgeable... however, if you go to a gnc in a college town, or around a university, you will probably be surprised with the knowledge of some of the employees... i'm not backing every employee, i'm just saying that there are a lot of gnc employees who know what they are talking about... i know quite a few myself...

    i am in no way defending gnc... but you cant make a statement saying that they are all ignorent when they arent...

    SWOLECAT... how is vitamin shop lightyears ahead??? because of their product quality or because of their prices??? i'm not following you here...

    ps... if you want a good paying partime job... and you live in a city or near a big mall... you can easily make 15-20 bucks an hour working at gnc... if you are good 25...



    just a side note... i made about 12 grand in 4 months this summer working 40 hours a week... thats not bad for a summer job imo........................

    I agree 100%. The only reason they are still in business is because the 1st name that comes to mind when people think vitamins is GNC. they marketed it well for so many years. Their prices are absolutely rediculous even if you shop on the certain week, with the certain card as a certain member you still get ripped.I order mostly online but if i have to run out and get something I go miles out my way to vitamin shoppe.

    Prices (biggest reason of ALL!!!!!!), products, selection (more than TRIPLE GNC!), specials, staff intelligence level, promotion of the company both by flyers/t.v./net/the marketing is best, the flyers w/coupons they hand out, up to date products, kickbacks, the look and feel of the store, etc.

    Lightyears ahead.

    BASTARD!!!! You realize I finally am able to go to the Vitamin Shoppe!?!?!?!? Back in the town I used to live all we had was gnc.... thank god I at least had the internet back than.....LOL
