I was reading up on steroids.com and they say to pull back some air into the syringe and inject it into the bottle to make it easier for the oil to come out... Is this relevant? Does anyone do this?

Yes it is and yes it does
it gives the gear some back pressure and will fill the syringe quicker...
if you are pulling with a 23 or 25 g needle, and the oil is thick... if you dont do this it is almost impossible to get anything outa the bottle... it increases the pressure in the bottle so the liquid is forced out easier...
i havent done it, but it takes a while for my syringe to fill up....lol..
Actually, it's not really back pressure as much as it is to keep a vacuum from being created. If you create a vacuum by only withdrawing volume (air or oil) then it will be more difficult every time you try to draw from the vial.
I also run the vial under hot water for a minute or two and draw with an 18g. Then it goes real quick.
i push in enough air so all i do is put the needle in and watch the syringe fill up

PS jerseyboy that avatar is cool..bruce willis rocks..ya know he has a blues band?
yeah it makes a lil pressure so its easier to fill your syringe. its nto necessary by any means but it might cut 30 seconds from your total injection time star to finish. no big deal.
always add what you're going to pull out.
1cc out add 1cc air
