Use whatever guage you want. I prefer 25G for everything.

However make sure you use 1.5" for glutes; 1" for delts, quads, etc. The only thing I would use 5/8" for is biceps.

I wouldnt go anything less or more than 22 guage 1.5 inches for glutes... The 22 guage is pretty much perfect, very little pain and oil flows nicely.. A 23 guage is decent also but may take a bit more time when withdrawling oil from bottle and may be harder to push into the muscle.. The 1.5 inch in the glutes forsure... I can feel when the needle goes into the skin than hits the actual muscle... Its a perfect length (differentiates depending on fat tissue).. But for 95% of people, im sure it is the most preferred length...

Good advice, but I've used a 1.5in for the bi's as well, just dont go all the way in!

I use 23ga 1-1/2". 25s work and go in slicker than frog snot, but it takes a lot of patience to inject more than a couple of cc. 5/8 not NEARLY long enough! If you are super super lean, like you have visible striations in your glutes, 1" will work. Most of us need the longer pins to ensure a good, deep shot. It also keeps you from having to press the ferrule against the injection site... a very bad practice according to my nurse.

someone on here had a good idea, not trying to rob the guy, just don't know who it was. anyways, he said that he just gets all 1.5" pins, and for shorter injections, he takes the cover and cuts it so that when he slips it back on, only the desired length is exposed. just thought it was a great trick

For the price of extra tips...why mess around. I buy the proper sized tips and then bury it.
